History
Takor Group was founded in 2009 by Amir Farhand. Based in Perth, WA, the company initially focused on using satellite imagery for iron ore exploration, then in 2011 initiated research and development into field mobile mapping technologies and thermal imaging systems. This is when Takor Group created and released the mobile mapping application Mappt in 2013, followed by the social media mapping app Kojai in 2014.
Takor Group expanded rapidly in 2015 and now has a team with various backgrounds, ethnicities and skill sets. The company’s combination of creatives have built products that allow everyday consumers and a variety businesses to harness the power of geospatial technology worldwide, including those in the mining, environmental, educational, and agricultural industries.
